The latest fitness and injury news from both camps as Latics get set to host AFC Wimbledon.
- Team news: Wigan Athletic v AFC Wimbledon.
- Neal Ardley waiting on fitness of Tom Soares and Harry Forrester.
- Nick Powell set to return from absence.
Speaking to iFollow Latics at the Wigan Athletic Training Centre on Friday morning, Paul Cook gave the latest update on injuries and fitness ahead of Saturday's final home game of the season against AFC Wimbledon.
Latics have a fully fit squad to choose from against AFC Wimbledon, with Nick Powell returning from an injury lay off which kept him out against Oxford United, Fleetwood Town and Bristol Rovers.
Speaking to iFollow about Powell, Paul Cook said:
"Powelly's been back in training this week and he'll be available for Saturday. It's a great boost for our supporters to be able to welcome Nick back after he missed out on the promotion game at Fleetwood Town. It's a boost for the boys and for Nick as well because he's had an excellent season."
Dons boss Neal Ardley told the club's official website that he'll be waiting on the fitness of midfield pair Tom Soares and Harry Forrester who returned to training earlier in the week.
George Francomb, Liam Trotter and Jimmy Abdou are all doubts for Ardley's men, with Will Nightingale (ankle) and Cody McDonald AFC Wimbledon's longer term worries.
