Latics' Under 16 forward Joe Gelhardt continued his impresssive youth international career this week, taking part and starring in England Under 16s' third place finish in the Montaigu Tournament in France.
Gelhardt score twice in his four appearances and assisted England's stoppage time winner against France in the third and fourth place play-off.
The forward, who has featured for Latics' Under 18s this season, played 60 minutes of the opening game 2-0 victory against Russia, before scoring England's second as a second half substitute in another 2-0 win over Cameroon.
England, who have finished in the top three of the tournament 11 times and won the competition six times, drew 3-3 in their final group stage game against Brazil, meaning they missed out on the final, but Gelhardt still impressed, scoring his second goal to make it 2-1.
The third/fourth place play-off saw England win 1-0 against France.
