- Paul Cook nominated for Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for March and Chey Dunkley nominated for Player of the Month award
- Winners announced at 6am on Friday 6 April
Wigan Athletic manager Paul Cook and defender Chey Dunkley have been nominated for the Manager and Player of the Month awards for March respectively.
Cook is nominated after Latics put their FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Southampton to one side and followed up draws with Scunthorpe United and Blackburn Rovers with four consecutive wins to return to the top of Sky Bet League One at the end of the month.
Dunkley was a commanding presence in both boxes and showed a natural ability to snuff out danger or sniff out a goal, contributing three goals and four successive clean sheets to our promotion charge.
Cook is up against Keith Hill (Rochdale), Dan Micciche (MK Dons) and John Sheridan (Fleetwood Town) whilst Dunkley faces competition from Alex Cairns (Fleetwood Town), Jack Marriott (Peterborough United) and Brett Pitman (Portsmouth).
Winners for each award will be announced at 6am on Friday 6 April.
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
