Wigan Athletic, in association with Wigan Council, are delighted to announce a special Promotion Party will take place in Mesnes Park on Sunday 6 May, 12-4pm.

Players, staff and supporters will have the chance to join together in celebration of a record-breaking season for Paul Cook’s side, with the Player of the Year awards also to be announced on the afternoon.

Hosted by WISH FM’s Chris Milow, there will be a big screen at the bandstand, on which some of the season highlights will be played as well as some of our most popular videos of the season.

There will be opportunities for photos with your favourite players, Q&As on stage with chairman David Sharpe, manager Paul Cook, his staff and some of the players and also the chance to feature on an iconic ‘Together Team Photo’ of players, staff and supporters.

Entertainment will be provided for kids of all ages and there will be delicious food and beverages provided by a selection of bars and street food traders, selected by our partners Haigh Foodie Friday.

On the event, Latics chairman Sharpe said:

“With the positivity around this season, the recent season card campaign and the feel good around the club, I felt it was important we had an open end of season celebration to include everyone associated with the club.

“On this special day, we’ll be able to celebrate our promotion to the Sky Bet Championship and the End of Season awards as a special end to a year we have all enjoyed so much.

“I encourage as many supporters as possible to come down to the event and make it a memorable occasion for the town.”

Wigan Athletic will be recording and taking images of this event and these will be used on our social media and website.  If anyone present does not wish to appear in photos/videos, please make the media team (situated by the main stage) aware and they will make sure you are not captured in any footage.
