Wigan Athletic can confirm the signing of striker Joe Garner from Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee.
Garner, 30, has scored over 100 EFL goals in his career to date, having played for Nottingham Forest, Preston North End and Ipswich, amongst others and has signed a two-year-deal at the DW Stadium.
The Blackburn-born striker made his league debut back in January 2006 for Carlisle United during a loan spell at Brunton Park from his hometown club Blackburn Rovers.
He made the move to Cumbria permanent before earning a move to Forest, where he played 55 times before signing for Watford in 2011.
A return to Carlisle on loan followed before Garner signed for Preston North End and played over 150 times for the Deepdale club, scoring on 57 occasions before he moved to Rangers in 2016.
A one-season stay at Ibrox preceded Garner’s move to Ipswich, where he scored 10 Championship goals last season.
Latics boss Paul Cook said of Garner’s arrival: “Joe has scored over 100 league goals in his career to date and gives us another option in attack.”
