EARLY TEAM NEWS

ASTON VILLA

Speaking live on avfc.co.uk, Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce said all of his new signings could feature on Saturday against Latics, with John McGinn arriving from Hibernian, goalkeeper Orjan Nyland added from Ingolstadt and defender Axel Tuanzebe (now in his second spell on loan from Manchester United) all drafted in.

In terms of injury and fitness, Keinan Davis and Scott Hogan are doubts, but Mile Jedinak will be available for Villa following a recent illness.

WIGAN ATHLETIC

Six Latics players could make debuts this weekend, with Callum Connolly and Lee Evans both looking to make their second debuts for the club after returning on loan, whilst Josh Windass and Joe Garner also arrived on transfer deadline day. Leo Da Silva Lopes and Kal Naismith arrived earlier in the summer and are yet to make their competitive debuts.

Dan Burn, who is on loan at Latics until January after agreeing a deadline day move to join Brighton & Hove Albion, will miss out through injury, whilst Nathan Byrne also missed out on the opening day of the season due to a pre-season knock.
