Your weekly schedule as Latics build-up to face Ipswich Town and the Under 18s take part in the FA Youth Cup against Wolves.

  • The week begins with a trip to Molineux for the third round of the FA Youth Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
  • #LaticsAdvent gets in full swing as we build-up to Christmas with our seasonal giveaways.
  • Latics travel to Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship.

2019 Half Season Cards
Monday 10 December

We start the week on the road as Latics' Under 18s travel to Molineux Stadium to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of this season's FA Youth Cup!

We'll have pre-match build-up from the ground, live updates from 7.00pm and all of the fallout from our clash with Wolves.

There's a raft of ex-Latics birthdays, with legendary defender Colin Methven turning 63, whilst Wayne Aspinall (54), Chris Shyne (68) and Josip Skoko (43) are all celebrating.

It's Day Ten of #LaticsAdvent - another brilliant prize to giveaway as we count down to Christmas.

Tuesday 11 December

Tickets for our trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday 15 December are available online until 4.00pm on Tuesday, with sales via the ticket office hotline 01942 311111 and in person until midday on Friday 14 December.

Callum McManaman, Gary Roberts, James Vaughan and Jamie Jones will be visiting The Brick Works to meet clients and learn more about how the facility is helping people who are homeless to get into work e.g. restoring furniture, woodwork, fixing bikes etc.

Former Latics players Leighton Baines (34), Ian Benjamin (57) and Nicky Maynard (32) are celebrating their birthdays.

We've also got action for our loan players, with the following involved:

Thursday 13 December

We'll be joined in the studio by former Latics captain Neill Rimmer and Kingdom Services CEO Terry Barton for the latest episode of our Latics Listen podcast, talking all things from Terry's company and our Goal of the Month sponsor, plus some great tales from Neill's time as a Latics player and his trips on the road as part of Latics' commentary team from 2011-2016!

Josh Windass, Gavin Massey, Cedric Kipre and Kal Naismith will be visiting Hope School to give Christmas presents to pupils.

Former Latics loanee Rob Newman celebrates his 55th birthday.

Friday 14 December

As we edge ever-closer to match day, our media team will have the latest news from the Wigan Athletic Training Centre, as well as all of your favourites to build-up to Ipswich Town.

Saturday 15 December

It's the day we're all building up to and another Sky Bet Championship clash! Latics are off to Ipswich Town for a 3.00pm kick off at Portman Road.

The Under 18s are also in action, with their EFL Youth Alliance Cup quarter final at Lincoln City kicking off at midday.
