Wigan Athletic Dan Burn was disappointed to not end his Latics career with three points as his side drew 2-2 with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
Reflecting post-match, Burn said:
“If you had said before the game that we would get a point away at Swansea then we probably would have been happy. The way it worked out, though, we are really disappointed.
“In the first-half I thought we dominated but to concede off two set-pieces in the second-half was disappointing; the first has gone in off the back of head and the second one is my man so that’s disappointing on my behalf.
“We probably had enough chances to finish them off in the first-half but they came back with some changes and changed the game completely, flipped the game on its head and we didn’t really get out.
“I thought we were brilliant [in the first-half]; we had a lot of time on the ball, everything fell for us and we made our own luck by winning every header pretty much or picking up the seconds.”
On his final game, Burn added:
“Today was pretty much how my whole career has gone, a bit of a rollercoaster.
“In many parts of the game, I was pleased, but really disappointed to concede from a set-piece because I am normally pretty good from them.”
Burn has given Latics fans some fantastic memories over the past two-and-a-half years and he says he’s loved his time as a Wigan Athletic player.
“I have enjoyed every minute I have been here,” Burn finished. “It has been the been the best time of my career and I have a lot of people to thank for that.
“This is a great bunch of lads, a great staff in and around the club and I have loved my time here.”
