The latest team news and injury updates from the Wigan Athletic Training Centre ahead of Latics' Sky Bet League One clash with Gillingham at the DW Stadium on Saturday 3 February.

WIGAN ATHLETIC

Deadline day signing Devante Cole is available for selection following his transfer from Fleetwood Town, and defender Donervon Daniels can be selected after he returned from his loan spell at Rochdale.

Manager Paul Cook insisted during his pre-match press conference that the pair won't neccesarily be part of the squad straight away.

Fellow January signings James Vaughan and Jamie Walker are also available for Saturday's game, with Vaughan back in the fold after he was cup-tied against West Ham United in the Emirates FA Cup, and Walker back in training following a knee injury.

Long-term, Shaun MacDonald continues to recover from a knee injury and is likely to be back in full training within a couple of weeks. The midfielder signed a new contract on deadline day and expressed his gratitude and commitment to the club.

GILLINGHAM

Steve Lovell could welcome deadline day recruit Rhys Murphy into his squad this weekend. The former Arsenal-trainee was signed following a successful trial, joining January additions Franck Moussa and Navid Nasseri in the squad.

Lovell confirmed Nasseri won't travel for Saturday's game, and neither will Billy Bingham who continues to build his fitness following a broken ankle in November.

The Gills are hopeful on the fitness of Gabriel Zakuani who picked up a training ground injury last week, with Alex Lacey looking doubtful following an ankle complaint.

Elsewhere, Scott Wagstaff continues to recover from a hamstring strain.
