Wigan Athletic have completed the loan signing of Jay Fulton from Premier League Swansea City, following a medical on Thursday afternoon.
The move, which is subject to international clearance, sees Fulton add extra availability to Paul Cook’s squad for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie with West Ham United, after Latics were given permission by Swansea for the midfielder to play in the competition.
The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Falkirk and played over 100 games for the Bairns before making the Switch to South Wales in January 2014.
Fulton has played 19 times in the Premier League for the Swans and Cook is delighted to have acquired the midfielder’s services for the remainder of the campaign.
“Jay will fit right in here,” Cook said. “It is a good move for him and we are really looking forward to working with Jay and integrating him into our squad.”
