Latics defender Dan Burn has been named the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month for December.
After helping Latics to record five consecutive clean sheets, Burn beat Andy Butler, Bradley Dack and Sky Bet League One's leading goal scorer Jack Marriott to the award.
On receiving the award, Burn said:
"It's a great feeling to be named as Player of the Month for the whole division. I wasn't expecting it, so it's nice to get recognition for the way I've been playing.
"I'd like to think this goes to show the efforts of the whole team as well because we've played a lot of games without conceding in the league.
"As a defender I'm massively proud because a clean sheet is as good as a goal and it's what me and the boys at the back pride ourselves on.
"As a team we've done very well defensively and throughout the month we didn't face a shot on target, which is testament to the boys in front of the goalkeeper.
"It's great to keep our run of clean sheets going, minus the cup games, and we'll do our best to make sure we keep it going as long as we can.
"The togetherness of the whole squad has played a major part in keeping clean sheets and remaining top of the league. We've got drive not to concede goals and to win as many matches as possible.
"It's not just the defenders who are keeping the goals out, it's the team as a whole. Our midfielders, wingers and forward stop the attacks high up the pitch.
"We're really gelling together as a back four and the more games we play together the easier it's becoming."
