Wigan Athletic are delighted to confirm the signing of striker Devante Cole from Fleetwood Town on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Cole, 22, has scored 12 goals in the 2017-18 campaign to date and arrives at the DW Stadium for an undisclosed fee.
A product of Manchester City’s academy and son of former Manchester United and England striker Andrew Cole, Devante has already notched 30 League One career goals from loan spells at Barnsley and MK Dons and also his permanent stays with Bradford City and Fleetwood Town.
A former teammate of Will Grigg at Stadium:MK, Cole will unfortunately be cup-tied for Latics’ Emirates FA Cup campaign, though he will be available for Saturday’s clash with Gillingham at the DW Stadium.
