Wigan Athletic's development squad beat their Port Vale counterparts 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon, securing their place in the Central League Cup final as a result.
Latics' goals came from Victor Maffeo, Tylor Golden and Will McGuffie and they'll now face Mansfield Town in the final - date and venue to be confirmed.
Vale actually went ahead in the game on eight minutes as Anton Forrester played through Vale's on loan Wolves forward Donovan Wilson to score.
Latics were level soon after, though, as Vale goalkeeper Rob Lainton brought down Divin Baningime inside the area and was sent off for the foul before Maffeo scored the penalty.
The hosts took the the lead on 58 minutes as the ball was worked to Golden whose shot took a deflection off Danny Pugh past Joe Slinn.
McGuffie got Latics' third 20 minutes from time, setting up progress to the final on an impressive day for Latics' young side, who included 15-year-old Joe Gelhardt in their line-up.
