Lang nets his sixth for Morecambe after picking up EFL award.
- The latest update from Wigan Athletic players on loan across the EFL and National League.
- Callum Lang scores his sixth goal of the season in 2-1 defeat after picking up EFL Player of the Month award.
- Donervon Daniels helps Rochdale to an Emirates FA Cup replay.
On the same day it was revealed that Callum Lang had been named EFL Young Player of the Month for January, the 19-year-old forward added his sixth goal in his last nine appearances for loan club Morecambe.
Lang gave the Shrimps the lead after 31 minutes at home to Mansfield Town, but the Globe Arena crowd was left disappointed by a 94th minute winners for the Stags. Danny Rose equalised for the visitors inside 70 minutes, before Malvind Benning's late goal.
Morecambe currently sit 19th in Sky Bet League Two on 30 points, four above Forest Green Rovers who occupy the final spot in the relegation zone.
Lang has now featured 18 times, including once in the Emirates FA Cup.
Rochdale took a break from their survival campaign in Sky Bet League One and, like Latics, turned their attention towards the FA Cup.
Donervon Daniels featured for the full 90 minutes as Dale drew 2-2 and almost pulled off a fourth round upset, leading until Ben Thompson's equaliser for Millwall in the 90th minute.
Jed Wallace gave the Lions the lead from the penalty spot at the Den inside 13 minutes, before Ian Henderson equalised and Matt Done gave Dale the lead.
Thompson's late leveller was a heart-breaker for the travelling support, but Daniels and his team mates remain in the hat for tonight's fifth round draw.
Chesterfield suffered a narrow defeat at home to Stevenage on Saturday afternoon, dropping 1-0 to a Ben Kennedy goal three minutes after half time.
Andy Kellett was introduced after 62 minutes, but couldn't impact on the Spireites defeat. Chesterfield sit 22nd in League Two on 27 points, one above Forest Green.
LUKE BURKE AND SAM STUBBS
AFC Fylde's quest for the National League play-offs hit a speed bump at the weekend, with Sam Stubbs and Luke Burke's side dropping to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Woking.
Lazar Stojsavljevic's 49th minute goal proved the Coasters' downfall, leaving them still sat ready to pounce on the play-offs in ninth, just two points behind Bromley in the final spot.
Terell Thomas and Owen Evans didn't feature this weekend as Sutton United's away fixture at Barrow was postponed, with Bury and Josh Laurent also out of action as the Shakers' clash with Peterborough United was also postponed due to Posh's involvement in the FA Cup.
