Latics outstanding sequence of results continued on Saturday afternoon, securing a 12th consecutive EFL Youth Alliance victory with a 4-0 thrashing of Walsall at Christopher Park.
The league leaders scored twice in each half, as Charlie Jolley netted a double to make it six goals in his last four appearances, with defender Tom Hilton and substitute Joe Gelhardt on the score sheet for the second week running.
Hilton gave Latics the leader on the quarter of an hour mark when he opportunisticly turned in following flicks on by Jolley and Anthony Plant from Joe Downey's corner.
Downey was involved again when Jolley doubled Latics' lead inside half an hour, playing the forward in behind the Walsall defence for a tight-angled finish.
Midfielder Downey got Latics' third rolling as well, sparking a counter attack from inside his own half as he switched play to James Berry who in turn played Mitchell Culshaw into space down the right to supply Jolley with his second of the game.
Substitute Gelhardt worked his magic for the fourth, seeing off four Saddlers' defender with ease before a tidy left-footed finish into the bottom corner.
