Wigan Athletic are delighted to extend their partnership with multi-award-winning fulfilment & logistics company 3P Logistics for a fourth consecutive campaign.
3P Logistics, who were initially Latics’ back of shorts sponsor when they first partnered with the club, will again appear on the back of the club’s shirts as they did in last season’s record-breaking Sky Bet League One title-winning season.
With access to over 200,000 sq. feet of secure warehousing, 3P Logistics are entrusted by many National and International retail brands to fulfil thousands of orders weekly on their behalf.
3P Logistics’ Managing Director Ian Walker spent last week out in La Cala with Latics’ first team squad, joining other Latics sponsors on the pre-season trip.
Speaking about the extension of the partnership in La Cala, Ian said:
“As a Wigan Athletic fan of over 40 years, it is quite surreal still to be supporting my hometown club through 3P Logistics. It’s a boyhood dream to tie in something you love, like sport, with business.
“For me, to partner with the club again in the Championship is brilliant. I am delighted that 3P Logistics will sponsor the back of shirt again, it’s a great kit.
“In simple speak, at 3PL we pick and pack orders for online retail brands so they don’t have to. Our headquarters are in Wigan with multiple warehouses in the North West as well as access to International fulfilment centres in China and the USA.
“It was a special experience in La Cala with the first team, the manager and his staff. There are a lot of good people behind the scenes at the club and I am excited for what the future holds.”
Adding to Ian’s comments on the partnership, Wigan Athletic’s Head of Business Development and Customer Experience, Jonty Castle, said:
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with 3P Logistics for a fourth successive season.
“Our link with 3PL has grown from strength-to-strength as a mutually beneficial partnership and Ian’s connection with the club makes it really special.
“Our partners are really important to us and it was great to invite Ian out to La Cala last week to represent 3P Logistics as part of our first team’s training camp in Spain.”
