Callum Lang grabbed an impressive hat-trick in the space of eight second half minutes on Tuesday evening to provide back-to-back victories for Latics' Development Squad against Welsh opposition with a 3-1 win at Rhyl FC.
Latics were made to come from behind after an Aaron Hassall opener for the hosts in the first half, but they did so with confidence through Lang who was quick to put the contest to bed late on.
A number of trialists featured alongside Latics' Development Squad members Lang, goalkeeper Jordan Perrin, full back Tylor Golden, midfielder Chris Merrie and Under 18 starlets Scott Smith, Adam Long, Divin Baningime, Victor Maffeo and Kyle Joseph.
Despite a bright start from Latics, Hassall had the home side ahead when his shot deflected beyond Perrin, giving Rhyl a 1-0 advantage at the break.
It took until 15 minutes from time for Latics to crack the Cymru Alliance outfit, Lang latching onto the end of a well-timed through ball to beat the keeper Dunt, before giving his side a 2-1 lead with a carbon copy of his first.
Lang's hat-trick goal wasn't far off, again the forward coolly beating Dunt after winning possession high up the pitch for 3-1.
