Who doesn't love an afternoon in the sun surrounded by Latics supporters watching an open training session, meeting the players, eating some great food and even taking part in the football?
Well 1,600 supporters and local families certainly enjoyed the day and so did Paul Cook's squad as they met the heart of Wigan Athletic at the second annual #LaticsOpenDay at Robin Park Arena on Thursday 26 July!
Aimed at highlighting the work of the Community Trust, activities on the day included a first team open training session, coaching sessions for youngsters led by the club’s academy coaches, various community activities, a huge autograph session, stadium tours and more.
Jonathan Jackson, Latics’ Chief Executive, said: “This year’s #LaticsOpenDay was bigger and better than last year and it was amazing to see so many of the club’s supporters enjoying themselves in the glorious sunshine.
He added: “There were a whole host of events organised by the club and the Community Trust for families to take part in, and it was just really great to see lots of smiles on people’s faces.”
