Wigan Athletic captain Samy Morsy has been called up to Egypt's national team squad for their friendlies against Portugal and Greece this month.
The 26-year-old, who has three caps for his country so far, will travel to Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich, Switzerland for the international matches, linking up with his Egypt team mates in preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia this summer.
Egypt take on Portugal on Friday 23 March, before their clash with Greece on Tuesday 27 March.
Morsy will be absent from Latics' Sky Bet League One trips to Walsall on Wednesday 21 March and Bury on Saturday 24 March.
