Important information for supporters planning to attend Latics’ Emirates FA Cup quarter-final with Southampton at the DW Stadium.
- Travel information ahead of Wigan Athletic v Southampton in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday 18 March (kick-off 1:30pm).
- Roads around the DW Stadium due to the Run Wigan Festival expected to be open from 10:45am.
- Supporters are strongly advised to allow plenty of time for their journey with congestion expected.
Sunday will see thousands of supporters heading to Wigan for the Run Wigan Festival and our Emirates FA Cup quarter-final with Southampton FC.
The Run Wigan Festival will take place from 9am, whilst Latics’ clash with the Saints will kick-off at 1:30pm.
In terms of road closures due to the festival, Scot Lane, Woodhouse Lane and Stadium Way will be closed between 9am and 10:45am. Car Parks at the back of the DW Stadium will be accessible via Frith Street.
Although the roads will be re-opened from 10:45am, almost three hours before kick-off, congestion is expected and thus we urge supporters to set out early in order to ensure a safe arrival for the game.
