It’s been some ride, right? In 40 years as an EFL club, Wigan Athletic have achieved the unthinkable on many occasions, rising all the way to the Premier League in the space of only 27 years and of course capturing our first major trophy in the FA Cup final of 2013.
On Saturday 2nd June at the DW Stadium, the Official Wigan Athletic Supporters club will be hosting a special dinner to commemorate the 40th anniversary of our arrival on the League scene, with VIP guests from the four decades the club has been gracing England’s elite four divisions.
Names like Andy Liddell, David Lowe, Graeme Jones, Nathan Ellington, Jason Roberts, Emmerson Boyce, Paul Jewell, Tommy Gore, Mick Worswick, Jeff Wright and many others that have taken Latics from non-league to present day, have been invited to come along and celebrate this landmark anniversary.
Latics legend and former captain, Neill Rimmer will be the evening’s host, with a wide range of iconic names from the club’s past and present receiving exclusive invitations to attend.
Tickets for the event are priced at just £30, which includes a three-course dining experience and the opportunity to win some exclusive prizes in the Supporters Club’s raffle.
Guests are asked to arrive at the South Stand Lounge by 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
Attendees will receive a full three course dining experience and have the opportunity to win some exclusive prizes in the Supporters Club’s raffle.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Wigan Athletic Supporters Club website.
