Latics' Academy players continue to rack up the international honours, with Mwiya Malumo the latest to debut for his country, with the striker featuring for Zambia's Under 20s in a 2-0 victory over Rwanda in the U20 African Cup of Nations.
Malumo, who scored 25 goals in all competitions for Latics' Under 18s this season, was a second half stoppage time substitute for Zambia on Saturday, as he replaced Lameck Banda in the first of two legs against Rwanda.
Malumo and Zambia will host Rwanda in the second leg on Friday 18th May.
The forward follows in the footsteps of team mates Joe Gelhardt and Jensen Weir who have featured for England and Scotland respectively at youth international level this season.
