Kal Naismith has signed a three-year deal at the DW Stadium to commence after his contract at Portsmouth has expired.

We are delighted to confirm that Kal Naismith will join Wigan Athletic following the expiration of his current deal at Portsmouth on 1 July.
Naismith, 26, has signed a three-year deal at the DW Stadium and offers manager Paul Cook – who he worked under at Portsmouth – a number of options with his ability to play in a few areas of the pitch.
Formerly of Rangers, Cowdenbeath, Partick Thistle, Accrington Stanley, Portsmouth and Hartlepool United, Naismith helped Portsmouth to win promotion to Sky Bet League One in 2016-17 and featured 31 times for Pompey last season, scoring three goals.
