Young people in Wigan have the oppportunity to enhance their skills and experience by joining the Community Trust's traineeship programme.
Starting in June 2018, the scheme is aimed at 19 to 24 year olds and is a 12 week full-time course, which will offer placement opportunities in fields such as sports coaching, business administration, media and hospitality.
In addition, the traineeship will also include Maths and English functional skills, acess to qualifications, job application support, Latics kit and bursaries.
Rhys, a young person who completed the traineeship, said: “It really helped me to discover what I wanted to do in life and gave me confidence to achieve my goals. The qualifications I gained allowed me to apply for jobs that I wouldn’t have met the criteria for if I hadn’t have done the traineeship.”
