Breaking Sky Bet Championship team news from the Riverside Stadium as Latics take on Middlesbrough.

  • Latics make three changes to the starting XI

Latics make three changes to their starting XI for the clash with Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship, with Lee Evans replacing Samy Morsy, and Gary Roberts and Nick Powell returning from injury in place of Kal Naismith and Joe Garner who make the bench.

Captain Morsy is absent due to suspension following his fifth yellow card of the season in Latics' 2-1 defeat to Leeds United last Sunday, whilst defender Chey Dunkley misses out following a knee operation on Thursday.

Gavin Massey continues to make good progress on the long road to recovery from hamstring surgery, with Michael Jacobs and Will Grigg also progressing in their rehabilitation from similar injuries.
