Speaking at his press call ahead of Latics' Sky Bet Championship clash with West Bromwich Albion at the DW Stadium, Paul Cook gave the following update on the fitness of his squad:
"We will have players missing against West Brom and we'll be forced to make changes due to some longer term injuries.
"Will Grigg is out after a hamstring issue with Northern Ireland and Michael Jacobs has picked up an injury which has required surgery.
"We obviously have Gavin Massey missing as well, but it's been encouraging to see him doing gym work and stepping up his recovery.
"It's disappointing to have players injured, but that's exactly why we've built a squad like we have, because we have the quality to step in."
