Will Grigg - Northern Ireland
It was another tough evening in the UEFA Nations League for former Latics midfielder Michael O'Neill and his Northern Ireland side as they fell to 1-0 defeat against Austria in Vienna.
West Ham United's Marko Arnautovic hit the crucial goal in the 71st minute, with Will Grigg introduced from the bench eight minutes later. His first act within four minutes of coming on was the glance an effort agonisingly off the post, with what would have earned a crucial point in Northern Ireland's campaign.
Defeat leaves the Green and White Army bottom of League B Group Three on zero points, with a trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina to contend with on Monday.
Samy Morsy - Egypt
Latics' captain Samy Morsy was an unused substitute as Egypt strengthened their position in Group J of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification stage courtesy of a 4-1 victory over Swaziland.
Ahmed Elmohamady, Amr Warda, Mahmoud Trezeguet and Mohamed Salah all hit the target for the Pharaohs as they moved top of the group on six points from three matches.
A second clash with Swaziland follows on Tuesday.
Owen Evans - Wales U21s
Goalkeeper Owen Evans featured from the start in Wales' 2-0 defeat away to Romania in the UEFA U21 European Championship qualifying stage, leaving Rob Page's side fifth in Group Eight on 10 points from nine matches.
After impressive saves and a clean sheet in the first half, group leaders Romania found their way through in the second half.
Evans, who has two caps at this level and has represented Wales' U19s, will see out the qualifying campaign against Switzerland on Tuesday, the winner of which will finish fourth in the group.
Kyle Joseph & Luke Robinson - Scotland U18s
After making their debuts in a 1-1 draw against Uzbekistan on Wednesday, Kyle Joseph and Luke Robinson were involved again on Friday night as Scotland U18s fell to a 1-0 defeat against France in Marbella.
Joseph made his first start for Scotland after coming off the bench against Uzbekistan, whilst Robinson made the substitutes against France.
