LATICS LISTEN EPISODE 12: THE BATTLE OF BRAMALL LANE

25 October 2018

Paul Jewell, Dan Burn and Latics fan James Mitchell join Guy Clarke for the latest instalment of our official podcast!

  • Latics Listen 12: Paul Jewell is our special guest on Latics Rewind ahead of Latics' trip to Bramall Lane.
  • Former manager holds current Latics boss and ex-team mate Paul Cook in high regard.
  • Dan Burn discusses hitting the 100 appearances milestone and Latics fan James Mitchell drops into the studio to bring us his terrace report from Millwall, his Sheffield United memories and preview ahead of the weekend.
Injuries, a red card, a penalty, a striker at centre back, a chaotic equaliser, a former player with the winner and one team jubilant, the other in despair, the 'Battle of Bramall Lane' had it all.

This week we have the man who masterminded Latics' survival against Sheffield United in 2007... Paul Jewell!

Latics' double-promotion winning and Premier League conquering manager lifts the lid on the build-up to the day and reflects on the achievements of his team.

Latics fan James Mitchell, who's Dad Jimmy played for Latics alongside Jewell in the 1980s, drops into the studio and provides a terrace report of the key action as-live from the Den.

And, Superman Dan Burn gives his critique of Latics' 2-1 defeat to Millwall, his Sheffield United preview and his delight at becoming a Latics centurion!
