Four Latics players involved across the EFL and National League on Saturday 13 October.
- Loan Round-Up: Devante Cole, Jamie Walker, Luke Burgess and Jordan Perrin all feature in weekend action.
- Cole and Walker late substitutes in Sky Bet League One victories.
- Burgess injured in Barrow AFC defeat.
Jamie Walker - Peterborough United
We start in Sky Bet League One with promotion chasing Peterborough United. The Posh triumphed 2-0 away at Scunthorpe United on Saturday, with Jamie Walker a late substitute in second half stoppage time, replacing double goal scorer Matt Godden.
Victory keeps Peterborough second in the table on 27 points hot on the heels of league leaders Portsmouth.
Walker came up against his former team mate Ryan Colclough and former Latics defender James Perch on Saturday.
Devante Cole - Burton Albion
The Brewers were also successful in League One on Saturday and much like Walker, Devante Cole was introduced late in the game, but just early enough to be on the pitch to celebrate Ben Fox's 91st minute goal to clinch a 1-0 victory against Bristol Rovers.
The win has Burton Albion 15th in the division, four points clear of the relegation zone.
Joe Piggott - Morecambe
Moving down a division into Sky Bet League Two, Development Squad striker Joe Piggott was an unused substitute as Morecambe claimed a 2-0 victory away at Carlisle United thanks to goals from Ajay Leitch-Smith and Vadaine Oliver.
Victory for the Shrimps has them 17th on 13 points, five points clear of the relegation zone.
Luke Burgess - Barrow AFC
It was a disappointing Non-League Day for Barrow AFC on Saturday as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Bromley in the National League.
Midfielder Luke Burgess has been making excellent progress with Barrow and once again started for Ian Evatt's men, but he was withdrawn with half an hour on the clock after an awkward fall put end to his appearance. An update on his injury will be given in due course.
The defeat leaves Barrow 13th in the table on 21 points, eight points behind Gateshead in the final play-off place.
Jordan Perrin - FC United of Manchester
FC United's struggles continued in National League North with a 2-1 home defeat to Darlington leaving them bottom of the division on six points, four from safety.
Development Squad goalkeeper Jordan Perrin featured from the start.
