PAUL COOK NOMINATED FOR SEPTEMBER SKY BET MANAGER OF THE MONTH AWARD

Boss led Latics to nine points from five games in difficult month as positive start to life in the Sky Bet Championship continued.

Wigan Athletic manager Paul Cook has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for September.

Home wins over Rotherham United, Hull City and Bristol City came in a difficult month of fixtures for Cook’s side, who have continued their positive start to life in the second tier.

Cook is up against Daniel Farke (Norwich City), Chris Wilder (Sheffield United) and Darren Moore (West Bromwich Albion) for the award.

The winner will be announced on Friday 5 October. The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
