We are delighted to announce another international call up from the Wigan Athletic Academy, with Under 18 striker Kyle Joseph named in Billy Stark's Scotland Under 18 squad for upcoming friendlies against Uzbekistan and France in Marbella, Spain next month.
Joseph, who is a first year apprentice at Latics, has already scored seven goals for the Academy this season, netting six times for the Under 18s and once for the Development Squad.
Joseph joins fellow U18 team mates Joe Gelhardt, Jensen Weir and Thelo Aasgaard on the international scene.
Head of Academy Gregor Rioch said:
“Kyle has been with us for four years and he’s had a promising start to the season with six goals so far for the Under 18s in his first year as an apprentice.
“He joins Joe Gelhardt, Jensen Weir and Thelo Aasgaard in being a youth international and collectively they have helped to add extra determination to the group, with their team mates determined to succeed.”
