A round-up of Latics' player out on loan across the EFL and National League.

  • Loan Report: Callum Lang and Oldham Athletic the big winners from the weekend.
  • Luke Burgess, Jamie Walker and Joe Piggott all featured.
  • Devante Cole an unused substitute. Jordan Flores continues rehabilitation from injury.

Callum Lang was the big winner in the weekend's action as his Oldham Athletic side won 3-0 away at Grimsby Town in Sky Bet League Two. The young forward featured for 61 minutes before being replaced by Gevaro Nepomuceno.

Sam Surridge struck twice before Jose Baxter added a late third to lift Oldham into sixth place on 14 points, five behind leaders Lincoln City.

A division down in the National League, midfielder Luke Burgess continued his excellent progress for Barrow AFC, and it could have been even better for the 15th place side, had it not been for Boreham Wood's stoppage time equaliser to draw 1-1.

Back in League Two, striker Joe Piggott played 60 minutes in Morecambe's 2-0 away defeat at Crawley Town, whilst in League One, Jamie Walker and Peterborough United tasted defeat for the first time this season 2-1 away at Portsmouth, who leapfrogged the Posh into top spot. Walker was a 67th minute substitute as Steve Evans' side attempted to rescue a late point.

Devante Cole was an unused substitute in League One in what was an impressive result for Burton Albion against Sunderland, with Jamie Allen and Kyle McFadzean on target to claim a 2-1 victory to see the Brewers into 14th.

Over in Sweden, Jordan Flores continues to recover from injury and is yet to debut for Ostersunds FK, who lost 3-2 at home against Malmo FF and remain fifth in the Allsvenskan.
