Jamie Walker got off the mark for loan club Peterborough United as Posh won 4-2 at Gillingham on Saturday.
Walker got the game’s opening goal for Steve Evans’ side, with former Latic Ivan Toney also on the mark in a win that has taken Peterborough back to the top of Sky Bet League One.
Walker’s side face Blackpool at the ABAX Stadium next weekend.
Striker Devante Cole was in the Burton Albion squad for Saturday’s match at Barnsley, which was subsequently postponed after a member of Barnsley’s staff fell ill.
Naturally, the thoughts and best wishes of everyone at Latics go to the gentleman who fell ill.
Forward Callum Lang featured for 46 minutes for Oldham Athletic as Frankie Bunn’s side produced a late comeback to draw 3-3 with Colchester United in League Two.
Joe Piggott was an unused substitute as Morecambe claimed a vital 2-1 win over Macclesfield Town at the Globe Arena.
Luke Burgess produced a star performance to help Barrow to a 2-0 win over Maidenhead United in the National League.
Burgess provided the opener for John Rooney before Tyler Smith wrapped up the points in the second half.
