Wigan Athletic’s home clash against Norwich City at the DW Stadium on Sunday 14th April will see all current and former Armed Forces serving personnel receive two free tickets for the game.
The fixture is being dedicated to Football 4 Forces, Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s innovative weekly football and health programme for Wigan Borough’s Armed Forces community, with a fixture between Latics and Norwich’s forces teams to take place at Robin Park Arena beforehand.
Football 4 Forces takes place at Robin Park Arena every Monday from 5.30pm–7pm, with sessions free of charge to attend and open to those aged between 16–65 years old.
The scheme aims to improve the health and wellbeing of current and former Armed Forces personnel, while also helping them to feel less socially isolated.
Participants also have the chance to complete coaching qualifications, become volunteers for the Community Trust, play matches against other teams and attend lifestyle workshops around diet, nutrition, healthy eating, drugs and alcohol.
Current or former servicemen/women wishing to claim their two free tickets for the game must contact Hayley Bulpitt by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01942 318090 by stating your name, address, phone number, email address and service number.
You will then be able to pick your tickets up from the reception of the Family Zone underneath the East Stand of the DW Stadium on the day of the game.
All requests must be made by 1pm on Friday April 12th 2019.
