WIGAN ATHLETIC V ROTHERHAM UNITED
THE CENTRAL LEAGUE
CHRISTOPHER PARK
TUESDAY 16 APRIL 2019, KICK OFF 1.00PM

The Central League title race hots up on Tuesday afternoon when second place Latics host first place Rotherham United at Christopher Park!

Latics sit on 24 points, whilst the Millers have 26 points, with both sides playing 12 of their 14 fixtures so far.

Nick Chadwick's Development Squad come into the game off the back of three straight victories and on a six-game unbeaten run, most recently picking up wins against Port Vale (2-1), Mansfield Town (2-0) and Doncaster Rovers (4-0).

The visitors arrive at Christopher Park in a similarly good run of form, unbeaten in their last four matches, with victories against Notts County (2-1) and Grimsby Town (3-1 & 4-0), as well as a draw with Port Vale (1-1).

The Millers' last defeat came against Latics, with Olly Crankshaw (2), Tylor Golden and Joe Piggott on target in a comprehensive 4-0 away win in February.

Victory for the visitors would seal the title with one game remaining, whilst a win for Latics would see them move one point above Rotherham with one game to play.

Latics travel to Morecambe FC on Tuesday 23 April, with Rotherham at home to Doncaster Rovers on the same day.
