  • iFollow Latics - Reece James post-Norwich City.
  • "A point is massive." - Reece James.
  • Chelsea loanee James scored his third goal of the season with his first half penalty.

Speaking to iFollow Latics after scoring his side's goal and picking up the Man of the Match award in the 1-1 draw with Norwich City, Reece James began:

"We were unlucky not to get all three points, we could have had them at the end with Clarkey's header, but it is what it is and we have to take the point and move on. Every point matters, we have to take what we got and look forward.

"The point is massive, especially against top of the league, but we have to move on quickly to Friday afternoon.

"It'll be another tough game on Friday and we'll give it our all."

With Leon Clarke's offside goal deep into stoppage time the only thing between a draw and a victory, James continued:

"The stadium went crazy and it would have been an amazing moment in our season, but we had to get back and refocus and get into shape because the game wasn't over."

On his penalty and performance, the 19-year-old added:

"Every game in midfield is a fight and we have to come out on top like we did today to make sure we keep things going.

"For the penalty, I had to stay cool and not let anything anyone was saying get into my head."
