In-form Latics will be hoping to continue their impressive league form when they travel to Grimsby Town on Tuesday afternoon.

A comprehensive 4-0 victory over Rotherham United at Roundwood last-time out saw Nick Chadwick’s side secure their fourth win from five Central League outings, leapfrogging to third place in the table, just four points adrift of league leaders, Port Vale.

Goals from Olly Crankshaw (2), Tylor Golden and Joe Piggott earned Latics the three points and extended their unbeaten run away from home to three games, with previous 2-2 draws against Huddersfield Town and Burnley in friendlies.

Meanwhile, Grimsby Town are in desperate need for points as they sit bottom of the Central League table. Though, a 2-2 draw with Latics earlier in the campaign will give the Mariners some much-needed confidence going into the fixture.

Latics completed a second-half comeback despite being on the wrong end of a two-goal deficit, with former Latics striker Louis Robles featuring for the visitors.

An own goal got Nick Chadwick’s side back into the game, before Mitchell Culshaw equalised following Leo Da Silva Lopes’ good work on the right-hand side.

With Latics tallying an impressive 16 goals in four games, Chadwick will be hoping his side can take their impressive form into the game against Grimsby Town on Tuesday.
