Wigan Athletic's England Under 17 duo, Joe Gelhardt and Jensen Weir, were involved in the latest set of international friendly fixtures last week, with the Young Lions picking up two victories, a 3-2 triumph against France and a 4-1 penalty shootout win over Hungary following a 0-0 draw.
Midfielder Jensen Weir featured for the full 90 minutes in the 3-2 win against the French, before replacing Joe Gelhardt as a substitute in the second game against Hungary after 60 minutes.
Weir has now featured six times for England's U17s, with Gelhardt picking up his ninth youth international cap.
The pair have prepared well for Wednesday's FA Youth Cup fifth round clash with Liverpool at Chester FC, but missed out on Latics' 4-2 victory against Accrington Stanley in the EFL Youth Alliance on Saturday.
