PC on the performance against QPR

“I’m delighted with the lads, it’s been a tough week for the club with Will Grigg leaving but with the type of money that was offered there was nothing we could do, it was the correct thing to do.

“The new lads have come in and done great today, I’m delighted for the owners and for the chairman, for everyone.

“It was a big win for us today, a much-needed win and I’m delighted for the players.

“You need abit of luck and fortune as well as the good players and we’ve done it so we will enjoy tonight, it’s a good night for us after a tough week for everyone but when you win football matches, football clubs are always happy places.”

PC on the impact of new signing Leon Clarke

“They’re good experienced players at this level, it’s something we’ve lacked for our supporters who have travelled in great numbers.

“Our home form is very strong, similar to a team that could be in the top six, our away form is obviously relegation form, but today it was a good day for us, the new lads have integrated well.

“I’m just pleased for everyone because we’re on 32 points, in the position that we are and desperately trying to stay up, which is the key for everyone.”

PC on the latest boosts to the squad

“I’m delighted for Josh Windass to get a goal, two in two for him and Leon is just a good player, a top striker at these levels who is proven, and Danny is the same.

“We’ve brought Jonas Olsson in and we’ve got players returning in Gavin Massey and Jedi who are training well, Nick Powell will also be returning to training this week and Michael Jacobs is back.

“We’re delighted, a week can make a big difference and everyone at the club needed a win today, so I’m just delighted that we were able to deliver that for the supporters."
