Man v Fat aims to provide weight loss motivation, diet tips and weight loss transformations for men who are fighting against fat.

Following the success of Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s Man v Fat league at Wigan Soccerdome, where participants lost a combined total of 98 stone during the first season, Latics’ official charity are to launch a brand-new league at Leigh Sports Village from Wednesday 10th April 2019.
A 14-week scheme, Man v Fat aims to provide weight loss motivation, diet tips and weight loss transformations for men who are fighting against fat, with an introductory event to be held at 7pm at Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday 3rd April 2019 where players will be weighed and put into teams.
Man v Fat is part of Wigan Council and Inspiring healthy lifestyles’ Lose Weight, Feel Great FOR MEN campaign, and targets males with a BMI of 27.5 or over and consists of weekly football sessions and expert weight loss advice.
A £10 deposit is required to join Man v Fat, however this money will be given back to the participants who complete the programme upon its entirety.
