"It's a good cup for us to be in and the majority of our group have experienced good times in the FA Cup.
"Sometimes you do need a break from the league, the positive side of it being that you can go away and work on things and when you return to the league games you've already addressed what needs to be addressed.
"The more games we play the better because we continue to learn more about each other.
"The FA Cup gives everyone a thrill. I've been fortunate enough to be involved in a few cup runs myself and hopefully we can start one this weekend.
"If we can do well in the FA Cup it can give us momentum in the league to string a few wins together."
On coming back from knee surgery in the final games of 2018, Dunkley added:
"I've been involved in the last three games now and I'm working towards getting back to what I know, being strong and doing the right things.
"It's hard coming back from an injury, but that's part of football. I just have to keep going, it's very much a case of the more minutes I play the better at the moment."
