Development Squad midfielder Luke Burgess will see out the 2018-19 season on loan at Barrow AFC, having already played 20 times for the National League side so far.
The 19-year-old's initial loan deal with the Bluebirds expired in the New Year, but Burgess returns in time for Ian Evatt's side's National League trip to Havant and Waterlooville this weekend, having featured as a substitute in a 0-0 draw away at AFC Fylde on New Year's Day.
The Holker Street side are on a seven-match unbeaten run in the league, with Burgess and his Barrow team mates 11th in the table and seven points from the play-off places.
