LOAN REPORT: CRANKSHAW SCORES FROM THE SPOT IN 4-2 WIN

12 January 2019

Young winger on target for Curzon Ashton against Nuneaton Borough.

  • Loan Update: Olly Crankshaw on target as Curzon Ashton win again.
  • Callum Lang involved for Oldham Athletic in 0-0 draw against Forest Green Rovers.
  • Devante Cole an unused sub in Burton Albion's 3-2 defeat at home to Gillingham.

OLLY CRANKSHAW

Curzon Ashton ran out 4-2 winners on the road against Nuneaton Borough in the National League North on Saturday afternoon, with Latics' recent recruit Olly Crankshaw on target from the penalty spot.

The winger scored his spot kick to pull the Nash level at 1-1, with Lewis Reilly, Jono Hunt and Luke Wall adding to Crankshaw's goal.

Curzon Ashton are now up to 16th in the table on 31 points, seven clear of FC United of Manchester in the relegation zone, and with a game in hand.

CALLUM LANG

After his goal scoring heroics in the Emirates FA Cup to earn Oldham Athletic a 2-1 victory away at Premier League side Fulham, Callum Lang played the full 90 minutes for the Latics in their 0-0 draw at home to Forest Green Rovers in Sky Bet League Two.

The point keeps Oldham five points behind Forest Green who sit in the final play-off place, with the Latics 11th in the table.

DEVANTE COLE

Burton Albion fell to a 3-2 home defeat against Gillingham on Saturday, with striker Devante Cole an unused substitute for the Brewers.

Burton sit 11th in Sky Bet League One on 35 points, 12 behind the play-off places and eight above the relegation zone.
