Crankshaw continues fine form with an assist in Curzon Ashton's draw against Darlington.
- Loan Update: Crankshaw and Lang involved in the weekend's action.
- Olly Crankshaw grabbed an assist in Curzon Ashton's 1-1 draw against Darlington.
- Callum Lang featured as Oldham Athletic dramatically exited the Emirates FA Cup.
Oldham Athletic's run in the Emirates FA Cup came to an end on Saturday and, as was their 2-1 win against Fulham in the third round, the game was filled with drama from start to finish.
Callum Lang, who scored Oldham's winner in the previous round at Craven Cottage, featured for the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat away at Doncaster Rovers.
Lang's team mate Peter Clarke was heavily involved in the end-to-end contest, clearing off the line in the first half, before scoring his side's equaliser. The defender then gave away the penalty that allowed Ben Whiteman to score the winner and his second of the match, before Clarke was sent off for a second yellow card after a foul on former Latics Development Squad goalkeeper Marko Marosi.
After scoring another stunning goal for Latics' Development Squad in the 6-0 victory against Mansfield Town last Tuesday, Olly Crankshaw continued his fine form in the National League North for Curzon Ashton, setting up Lewis Reilly's opener for the Nash against Darlington on Saturday.
The game finished 1-1 after a second half equaliser, but the point makes it five unbeaten for Crankshaw and co., who are now looking up towards the play-offs, rather than behind them to the relegation places.
Curzon Ashton are now 14th on 35 points, seven from the play-off places and nine above the danger zone.
Midfielder Luke Burgess wasn't involved in the match day squad as Barrow AFC drew 0-0 away against Chesterfield in the National League.
The Bluebirds are now 11th on 41 points, nine behind Harrogate Town in the final play-off place.
