Our regular check-in with the upcoming events at the club, the DW Stadium and Wigan Athletic Community Trust.

  • Latics host Aston Villa at the DW Stadium on Saturday 12 January.
  • Our Under 18s host Rochdale in the LFA Cup semi-final before their FA Youth Cup trip to Hull City on Saturday.
  • Josh Windass turns 25 and Charlie Jolley celebrates his 18th birthday.

Monday 7 January

Tickets are on general sale for our Sky Bet Championship trip to Hillsborough on Saturday 19 January.

Tuesday 8 January

Our unbeaten Under 18s kick off their week with the Lancashire FA Youth Cup semi-final against Rochdale at Christopher Park. Kick off is 1.00pm, with Latics aiming to reach the final of the competition they won in 2018.

Friday 11 January

Our pre-match build-up continues with the latest from Paul Cook ahead of our clash with Aston Villa at the DW Stadium, including updates on injuries and his thoughts on Dean Smith's side.

We'll also have all of your favourite pre-match content on and classic action from down the years against Villa.

Former Latics and Villa favourite Emile Heskey celebrates his 41st birthday, with fellow former Latics strikers Will Keane (26) and Kaiyne Woolery (24) also celebrating on Friday.

Saturday 12 January

It's match day! We're back at the DW Stadium to take on Aston Villa in the Sky Bet Championship.

Tickets are available online, by calling 01942 311111 or by visiting the DW Stadium Ticket Office in person.

Staff from the Community Trust and Inspiring healthy lifestyles will be on hand to tell supporters all about the Lose Weight, Feel Great FOR MEN programme.

A fitness station will also be located on the East Stand concourse for fans to learn more about the project and to sign-up.

The scheme targets men with a BMI of 25 or more, with a stall in the supporters club for fans to register their interest in taking part.

Our Under 18s are also in action for their FA Youth Cup fourth round tie away at Hull City at 5.15pm. After dumping out Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round, Latics will be hoping to upset the Tigers at the KCOM Stadium.

Sunday 13 January
