Experienced frontman joins Paul Cook’s Latics on loan.

Wigan Athletic are delighted to confirm that striker Leon Clarke has joined Latics on loan for the remainder of the 2018-19 season from Sheffield United.
Clarke, 33, brings great form and experience to Latics’ ranks, with his recent spells at Bury and Sheffield United returning 49 goals in all competitions over 128 games.
A former Latics loanee, Clarke made his breakthrough with Wolves before spells with clubs such as Sheffield Wednesday, Coventry City and Saturday’s visitors to the DW Stadium – QPR - preceded his more recent experiences at both Gigg Lane and Bramall Lane.
With nearly 500 career appearances to his name, Clarke adds great experience to Paul Cook’s ranks and the Latics boss was delighted to secure his signature.
