Latics have plenty of options for their trip to face Derby County on Tuesday evening, with Paul Cook confirming that Nick Powell will be in the travelling squad heading to Pride Park after missing out on the squad for his side's 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Powell missed a day of training due to illness last week, with the manager preferring to allow the forward more time to recover in training.

Latics made two changes on Saturday, with Nathan Byrne and Cedric Kipre taking the places of Michael Jacobs and Anthony Pilkington.

Elsewhere, Callum McManaman is two appearances away from joining Latics' 100 Club.

Seventh place Derby County made six changes on Saturday and fell to a 4-0 defeat away at Aston Villa, with a number of their adjustments forced due to injury.

Amongst the changes, former Latics goalkeeper Scott Carson returned from a knee and thigh problem to replace Kelle Roos, whilst Mason Bennett returned from a hamstring injury which has kept him out since November, with Harry Wilson dropping to the bench.

The Liverpool loanee is expected to return to Derby's starting XI on Tuesday.

Martyn Waghorn and Jayden Bogle missed out on the starting XI on Saturday but remained in the match day squad, whilst Tom Huddlestone didn't make the 18 and midfielder Andy King dropped out entirely due to a season-ending ankle injury. 18-year-old Max Bird was handed his full league debut for the Rams.

Elsewhere, Craig Bryson (foot), Mason Mount (hamstring) and Tom Lawrence (ankle) continued their spells on the sidelines at the weekend and Bennett picked up a knock which could see him back on the injury list.

Huddlestone is expected to return, with David Nugent, who missed out on Saturday with a minor problem, is also available.

Derby continue to have long-term injury troubles with Marcus Olsson (knee), Craig Forsyth (knee) and Curtis Davies (Achilles) all rehabilitating.
