Wigan Athletic v Brentford

Latics were handed some positive fitness news during the international break, with Danny Fox and Anthony Pilkington returning to training.

Speaking in his pre-match press call, Latics boss Paul Cook said:

"We've had a great couple of weeks. Players who needed to rest have been given the right amount of rest, and as a group we've tried a couple of different training techniques to keep on top of our fitness.

"We were at Blundell's Boxing Gym again and the lads love those sessions. The guys at the gym are great with our lads, they teach them different drills to improve strength and they certainly keep us on our toes.

"As an aside to that, we've added two more to the training group with Danny Fox and Anthony Pilkington back in training and they're both fit and available for selection on Saturday."

Reece James, Lee Evans and Antonee Robinson all travelled with their national squads, with James involved in two England U20 fixtures, Evans made his first start for the Wales senior team and Robinson featured for USA's U23s.

You can hear from Lee talking about his first start for Ryan Giggs' side on the latest episode of our podcast, Latics Listen, below.

Callum McManaman will make his 100th league appearance for Latics should he feature against the Bees on Saturday.

The forward will join Latics' EFL 100 Club, but how many of the list do you know? Take the quiz.

Bees boss Thomas Frank told

"Everybody is ready so it's up to me to pick. It could be just too early for some of them to be involved in the squad but it’s very close. Now it's about fitness, form, and performance. Everybody needs to compete to keep their place."
