Young Scottish centre-half signed from Partick Thistle

Hendry signed a four-year deal at Latics from Partick Thistle for an undisclosed fee in September 2015.

He featured three times for Latics during the 2015/16 season, with all three appearances coming in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy as Latics beat Crewe Alexandra 3-2, Blackpool 4-0 and drew 2-2 with Barnsley before a penalty shootout defeat.

In the search for first team football, Hendry joined Latics' fellow Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town on loan for the final two months of the 2015-16 season where he made six appearances.

Early in the 2016-17 season, Hendry, along with teammate Ryan Colclough, joined League One outfit MK Dons on loan until January, making seven appearances, before returning to the DW Stadium.

CAREER SO FAR
Hendry joined Partick Thistle in August 2014, having previously developed at Dundee United.

The central defender made his first team debut for the Jags in May 2015 and went on to make four appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

Hendry featured against Latics in pre-season at Partick's Firhill Stadium, prompting the move South.
