Date of birth
Direct forward who signed for Latics in January 2018 for an undisclosed fee from Fleetwood Town.
Devante Cole arrived at the DW Stadium on Deadline Day in January 2018, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club after we agreed an undisclosed fee with Fleetwood Town.
Cole signed for Latics after two years at the Highbury Stadium in which time he scored 22 goals in 94 appearances.
His early Latics career saw him make solely substitute appearances as he competed for a starting berth with Will Grigg and James Vaughan. Despite his limited minutes on the pitch, though, Cole made an impression and played a critical role in Latics' late winner against Oxford United in April 2018, a result that put one foot into the Championship for Paul Cook's side.
CAREER SO FAR
The son of former Manchester United and England forward Andrew Cole, Devante was an academy player with Manchester City from the age of seven.
Cole, who has won youth international honours up to U19 level, made his senior football bow during a loan spell with Barnsley, in which time he scored seven goals in 23 appearances for the League One club.
A further loan spell with MK Dons preceded a permanent transfer to Bradford City in 2015.
Cole scored six goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Bantams before switching to Fleetwood after just six months at Valley Parade.
The youngster was a success with the Cod Army and arguably playing the best football of his career prior to his move to the DW.
